Tumblr proves time and time again that sadly, people just don’t care about the fact that those who follow tracked tags do it out of enjoyment and do not want to see drama, hate and everything that doesn’t belong.
Because the “edits” tag proved successful in the fandom so far (high five, fandom, for this continued effort), maybe spreading the word and creating a new tag would work?
Edits tag are awesome but they do exclude fanfiction, blog posts, meta posts and news. So, here’s a suggestion for both character and ships: adding a “pro” before the tag.
i.e.
Pro Regina Mills
Pro Swan Queen
Pro Hooked Queenetc.
I’m posting this in a Regina focused blog but obviously, the entire fandom is welcome to do this in one form or another. Pro Emma Swan, Pro Rumplestiltskin, Pro Captain Swan, Pro Rumbelle etc. Basically anybody who feels their tag is full of hate and things they just don’t care about.
So here’s a proposal to start using this new tag system in the fandom to avoid negativity and hate. Please make sure that this is about people who want to ENJOY what they are tracking. Basically, it’s to filter the content and focus on posts that are strictly focusing on your character/ship etc. No hate posts, shipper wars, randomly tagged posts that barely have anything to do with that certain subject.
